I Just Need To Walk It Off
One foot before the other
Troubles left behind
Two eyes looking front and center
With heaven on my mind
Casting all my cares aside
My worries flung away
Taking one carefree leisurely stride
Bare feet on sand today
I wish I didn’t have to
Think so hard and try
To hold the world together
As though it’s do or die
For life will have its ups and downs
More downs sometimes it seems
But what goes down can return uptown’s
As long as we believe
At least that’s what they say
Though maybe I don’t wanna hear it
Not now, no not today
Today I’d rather walk a bit
To remember what it’s like
To be fully human, fully frail
Today I’ll walk ‘neath the sun so bright
As I follow some Pacific Mole Crab trail
I just need to walk it off
To take time away from it all
I don’t think I can handle more
Not now or I will fall
I just need to walk it off.
