“I’ll Lock Each One Of You In Jail”
I’ll lock each one of you in jail
Right now!
So my son says each time things
Go south
When he loses an argument
He’s bound
To say that as a way to hold
His own ground
I don’t know how to help
Him see there are other ways.
He doesn’t have to get defensive
Nor lose his cool every day
But to be fair
It’s not about losing cool
More about him trying to
Chase away his blues
So I let him say it
Even let him accompany it
With a little Mr Bean of a jiggle
Hopping up and down, fanny a-wiggle
Still at some point though
He must needs find a different expression
Not hold innocents indefinitely
Inside some imagined prison!
