My Christmas Wish

There can be no shadow
Unless there’s first a light
Bright days will always follow
Even after the darkest night
When Jesus came as a baby
He wasn’t welcomed with delight
When Jesus came as a baby
It was dark
It was black
There was fright
But came He did
To give our world respite
God Himself in human form
To make all things broken
Right
I know all this sounds
Just a tad bit contrive
Yet maybe this Covid 19’s
Christmas just might
Be the one true answer
We need in this
Our pandemic plight
As darkness continues to
Surround us
For another stab
Another bite
To plunge us into deepest despair
And bitter cruel spite
For a world that’s gone mad
O how we long to take flight
But let’s not lose heart
Keep up the good fight
So
Merry Christmas to all
And to all a good night!
A new favorite Christmas poem! Thank you, Kelvin.
