Floating down a river
A mere ten inches deep
Looking up to heaven
Seeking some reprieve
From this madcap world
That’s rushing us
Down a gorge
I’d rather not
Effortless Effortless
Adrift and set free
Best place to be
Even if the world can’t see
That it’s hurtling towards
An unending abyss
When it fills its days
With rocks and boulders
I want to stay effortless
To flow with the river
That will take me along
Winding at will and singing its song
