Advent Musings #2/5 — Peace
Hope and Peace
Like falling leaves
Drifting down while one season to another
Shifts
Joy and Love
From around and above
Are disappearing like last year’s Christmas
Gifts
This year can we bring back
Hope and Peace
Joy and Love
To flood our hearts
Anew?
This year can we see more
Kindness and grace
Beauty and cheer
From start to end
Through?
If not can we at least
Restore some Peace?
Not just the kind that
Comes from deep
Inside
But rather Peace
That transcends our ken
That comes from beyond
The stars above and can
Abide
Despite the storms
That pummel our shores
Threatening our diminishing
Days
Peace that flows
Like a beautiful stream
Refreshing our souls in magnificent
Ways
Where oh where are you
Our precious Prince of Peace
Return please and
Set our hearts our world
Once more at
Ease.

What a profound plea from the heart. The One to Whom you point must be pleased.
