This is embarrassingly true
Yours truly never knew
I could be drowning in…books!

Ordering Receiving
I’m on an endless winding track!
I blame it on this eight week plan
To help me get back on my feet again
My reading feet. Cos it’s been asleep
Enough! I told me. I need to “reap”!
The JOY once more of reading for leisure
To drown all distractions and seek literary pleasure
I’m feeling my muscle memory uncurling in delight
Eager once more to read both day and night!
But I’ve let too much time pass me by
Now there are tons and tons of tomes
How will I read them all in one lifetime?
I need more speed so the more I can read!
I’m drowning now in sinking quicksand
Of books galore there’s barely any land
Left for me to stand on to read and read
I’m drowning in books, Lord help me!
