My Monday Metrical Musings #296

person holding a globe on white surface

Remake This World!

Let’s imagine for a minute
What the world could be like?
If you and I joined hands
If we each took a side

Of the wars now still going strong
Of the pains their striving’s brought on
And just stitch these sides together again
With love and patience and renewed connections

Yes, let’s remake this world now!
Let’s show the next generation how
To live in peace and sustained harmony
No strong men tactics causing misery

The Musks and Trumps and Tates begone
Their kind only splinters and breaks every bond
We need them silenced and put far away
So the world can see again a new glorious day

Yes, let’s remake this world now!
No more despair, sorrow, beaten brows
Only love faith hope aplenty
A brand new world rebuilt in solidarity!
